Would you leave a wad of money on a bar thinking it'll still be there when you get back?

Don't leave your expensive mobile device lying around in sight of other people. Keep it close to you all the time - but in a zipped pocket, so it doesn't end up falling down the loo.

Got kids with mobile devices?

Children of school age are more likely to have their mobile devices stolen than adults. Government research shows that the peak time for incidents with under 18s is 2pm - 10pm. Talk to your kids about keeping their stuff, and themselves, safe.

How to help keep your shiny new mobile device safe

Keep it close Don't leave it lying around, especially if you turn or walk away.
Keep it locked Set a PIN that you can remember (but not too easy so anyone can work it out).
Keep your head Don't get so distracted on a call that you forget where you are - or who's around you. Take care.

Know your numbers Make a note of your IMEI number, so that if anything does happen you can give this to the police to help them track it down on databases
